Gustavo Nielsen was born in Buenos Aires in 1962. He is an architect and writer.

 

As an architect, he is a founding partner of Galpón Estudio, with extensive built work throughout Argentina and awards both locally and internationally.

 

As a writer, he has published several books: Playa quemada, cuentos (Quemada Beach), 1994, Alfaguara, 2006, Interzona. Among the awards and distinctions she has received in her career are: First Biennial of Young Art in Short Stories, 1986, Jury Abelardo Castillo. Antorchas Novel Prize for Auschwitz, jury member César Aira. Municipal Literature Prize for the unpublished short story for Marvin, jury member Ana María Shua. Clarín Novel Prize 2010, jury member Rosa Montero, Edgardo Cozarinsky, and Juan Cruz Ruiz.
