BIO
Agustín Gigena (San Martín, Buenos Aires, 1998) is an Argentine writer. He resides in the City of Buenos Aires. He pursued a degree in the Arts of Writing and participated in various literary workshops. In *Fila de pájaros*—his collection of short stories—he constructs a universe of narratives that traverse the contemporary urban landscape, populated by characters shaped by separations, missed connections, and latent violence. His prose, precise and colloquial in tone, observes the everyday until it fractures or takes on an uncanny quality. Birds appear as a recurring motif: serving as witnesses, threats, or companions. He is an emerging voice in contemporary Argentine fiction.
WORK

Fila de pájaros (Birds in a row)
*Fila de pájaros* (A Row of Birds) brings together fourteen stories set in the city of Buenos Aires and its surrounding suburbs. Through ordinary characters—a man who has recently separated from his partner, a group of friends, a private-hire driver, neighbors, strangers—the stories explore breakups, missed connections, latent violence, and the small (or not-so-small) disruptions of everyday life. The prose, colloquial and restrained, observes the urban landscape until it begins to feel strange or threatening. The title serves as a unifying thread: birds appear throughout the stories as images, companions, threats, or silent witnesses to the events unfolding between the characters. It is a contemporary, raw, and precise look at what breaks and what remains.
